Grand Videoke Symphony 3.0 comes with 7,900 built-in songs right out of the box. There are 80s love songs and duets, 90s hip hop and alternative songs, and even contemporary ones from Taylor Swift, Rhianna, etc. If you want to add more songs, you can certainly do so by downloading them via the GV Smart App. Once you have authenticated with the code tied up to your unit, you can update or download new songs and song packs for free. As this model doesn’t come with any built-in screen or speakers, you will need to do some considerable setup to get started. In a nutshell, you will need to connect the Symphony unit to your TV and/or external speaker. If you already have your TV connected to your home theater, you will need to hook up the karaoke machine to just your TV. Using the included HDMI cable, you just plug it into the karaoke’s HDMI port and your TV’s HDMI port as well. The video will go out to your LED screen and the sound will be redirected to your home theater. On the other hand, you can also connect the karaoke directly to your home theater or an external speaker. If you do not have an HDMI-capable TV, you can connect using the 3.5mm-RCA A/V cable already included with the package. Again if your TV is already setup together with your home theater, you can just plug them all into your TV. Otherwise, you can plug the yellow into your TV’s video-in and the white and red to your home theater’s audio-in jack.
